I did 10 miles today. The schedule called for 8 miles and frankly we messed up our plan. Oh well. It didn't hurt me. Joe went with me luckily with his whistle and clipboard ( my coach!). Just kidding about the coach stuff.
This week I've logged in a little over 20 miles so am on schedule. The light rain today was great in that it kept us cool. On the way home a nice young woman noticed my Team in Training shirt and called out to me that she too had done an event for TNT.
Factoid: every four minutes someone will be diagnosed with a blood cancer. Every ten minutes some one will die. This year about 53,000 people will die of blood cancers.
Something to be thankful for: we bought beautiful peppers, tomatoes, and fennel at the farmers' market on the way home for dinner. Thank goodness we live in America and have this great bounty.
10 miles - way to go Milly!!!
ReplyDeleteAs coach and hubby, I can't remember signing up for training in the rain. Ha Ha. We had a great time and my wife is a trooper. I know I sound like a broken record, but I must say Milly and the TNT Organization are surely involved in a VERY WORTHY cause. I'm so proud of you and God bless you.
